Perhaps Cu Deco might have been better off employing my mum and dad who, many moons ago, sat down for a fag break under a tree ... think the detector had been left on .... there emerged a proper little nugget -500 dollars or so..which still lingers in a drawer.
At 83 they’d probably have to turn the offer down ....but you never know ..
As for the uk’s mineral resources , we manage to find enough Welsh gold for royal wedding rings when we need them(and dig up king’s bodies in car parks ! Richard 111)....
When I look down on that mineral rich soil from 35000 on my annual trip to Oz feet I’m still knocked out by its beauty and the mystery of what lies beneath ...and can appreciate the optimism my brother set out with on his journey with Cu Deco....
