Exactly. Pure speculation based on ignorance is worth bugger-all.
The answer to your question is best left to those who do have expertise. They say that there is no evidence of detioration and so it would be complete and utter madness to throw it away.
What you do with your own toothpaste has no bearing on how this company should deal with its products.
