Annoucement doesn't say too much but I speculate on the following:

Mr McKerlie said: "We are reviewing our strategy of a singular focus on the Cooper Basin. Our Cooper Basin business is well developed, and we will continue to work hard at this. However we must actively look to the future and make sure we continue to deliver growth to our shareholders." ​

Seems to me that someone wants to look beyond the Cooper and someone else doesn't?  Trick is to understand who's who in the team line up...in any event, BL lost as he is leaving IMMEDIATELY!

DLS have all the good acreage (yes, others have some too)  in the Cooper and should look beyond, IMHO.
