I doubt Statsports FFA deal is a substantial financial deal either, or their NZ rugby signing for that matter. They are announcing every win to the market. CAT did that in the early days and that led to the over hyping the business received. Under Powell that changed and they went too far the other way IMO. Check their insta account, just signed a couple of J league teams, FFA deal announced a few weeks ago..100+ devices.
Its the prosumer foray that is chewing the cash...be interesting to see what they say in the HY, clearly they understand the need to pull back spend in this area as the growth hasn’t been what they’d hope.
The elite section of the business is strong and sound financially.
Not it sure I agree re elite team looking elsewhere to SS and other competitors. I did the numbers 10 months ago (posted 12/3/18) and had elite clients 1627-275 in CAT’s favour.
Some 12 months later at CAT have increased to 2100, SS to 500ish. Who has signed more since that date? CAT’s fins in elite wearables back this strong growth up.
