Reg -
FYI, and more importantly all those others who seem to question anything not verbatim Catapult delivery - I am an independent consultant with many years managing listed & unlisted [sports] technologies companies & have recently been involved in the LPS field in AU, US & EU & Europe. I am a very small shareholder in Catapult -- AND unlike most comments I read here - I blog in my own name and say what i believe is reality!!
I am aware of both company's announced signings and if questioning my assessment I suggest you ask the value of the CAF / FFF / UKRL deals.
Many in this forum seem to equate "stated" client numbers & revenues to profitability - Were Joe & Mark still active they [like any good CFO / CEO] would tell you this is often not the case. Statsports claim 500+ clients - mostly elite level paying clients and if they lose clients they remove them from the numbers [ i know because I asked and they showed me]. Statsports, who are focused on all football markets, rely on product performance in the field to sell not sales personnel, of which I believe they have 4. Can I suggest several of the more influential members of this forum [ i have no idea who anyone is] ask Catapult for an accurate client list [of current, contracted paying clients] and do a comparison - Statsports are on their website. Statsports have about 1/3 the staff and I suspect as a result of recent contracts now generate about 1/2 the revenues of the wearables side of Catapult . Not that it is relevant to how Catapult is run but they are profitable, have no debt, have signed numerous substantial deals lately and they DID NOT LOSE A$17m last year- nor have they used A$120m+ of shareholders funds - of which they have very few! Also why not ask for any of the independent comparative tests by several Universities, FIFA, and others - they should be happy to provide them if they show they are the clear market leaders.
Reg - I believe you nailed it with your questioning of the "degree of dysfunction" & "apparent capability" of Vector - to my knowledge, no-one has got LPS right as yet, nor accurate ECG whilst moving. They must have dramatically improved Clearsky because that is not its reputation in the markets!
But just in case - Hang in there!
