You can be sure that Timler was not hired for that reason. The announcement indicates he had many years experience working in underground narrow vein mines, which is why I suppose he was hired.

Unless you are an insider it is not possible to know where to apportion blame for BDR's problems, including MACA. During most of his 18 month term with the company BDR was under-resourced in terms of its mining fleet and much of the additional equipment did not arrive until well after June 2015.

Timler will be watched closely and we will know if things are off track if the mill grade slips or they fail to meet other targets.
