Thanks for your posts Gilly. Yes, I agree, some plain speaking from management would be welcome.

As a long-held investor, I'd like to know what's going on with Sigma too. Is SIG worth holding or should I look for growth elsewhere? SIG should be a solid investment (great dividend, great industry sector). But is it? SIG seems hamstrung with legacy issues (residual mistrust from all those dud takeovers and money spinners from way back), and, as you've highlighted, the appearance of an over-reliance on favourable government policy.

Why isn't SIG doing better? Isn't the company developing a national network of warehouses to service pharmacies? Isn't healthcare a growth industry? Aren't pharmacists getting more involved in healthcare (e.g. flu injections)? It should be a lay down misere. But apparently it's not. Is the big end of town predicting a Labor victory at the next Federal election and a shake-up of the pharmaceutical industry? Will every Coles and Woolworths store soon have a resident pharmacist? Will customers buy more and more products on-line? Is there too much competition? I don't know! But would love to hear what others think. Is SIG worth holding or not?
