Ashley - I agree with the sentiment you might learn if you look into something you previously dismissed. Knowledge is no burden or something like that.
To me it's all about PE. Genuine, normalized E.
I know that ROIC is a good thing too.
Dividends are better than E.
This isn't because this is how "the market" values a company. This is because that is actually a real attempt to find out what it's worth. The market can go get stuffed.
