He ceased to be a substantial shareholder. What he did was split his holdings among family or business associates or placed them into other entities he owns. He may have been (for some assumed technical reason) to be worried that he would not be able to vote on a substantive issue and by moving his holdings into other entities he removed that worry. Methinks something's definitely in the wind.
