Good point C.B. I remember in 2007 when Xstrata & Norilsk were fighting for control of a Canadian company i held. The directors issued themselves with huge amounts of additional " performance' options whilst the takeover battle was underway. They knew they would have to be paid out on those options. It resulted in those guys making off like bandits with tens of millions of $. The shareholders didn't complain though. As everyone else were making criminal sized profits as well.
