Some posters are beginning to worry me....
I refer to my post dated 24Feb... nothing has changed from that.
I believe VLA is worth $1.75 UNTIL someone else offers more!
If we get close to crunch time and no other offer is on the table, then $1.75 is what we get.
To those of you so outraged by Merk's offer and intend voting against the takeover... you are a worry.
In effect, what you are declaring is that from the comfort of your homes ... far, far away in Hot Copperland, you have the ability to value something as complex as a specific BIO product.... and how it fits the model/plans/needs of a big Merck Pharma.
Bear in mind, the price is tiny petty cash to all Pharmas.... and if none of THEM choose to have a go, then how do you justify your belief that Merck's price is not fair?
VLA's market is ... Pharmaland.
Say all of them have no interest in topping $1.75.
Who are you to declare they are ALL wrong?
All this can change in the near future... but if it doesn't...????
Assume there are sufficient of you to succeed in rejecting Merck's bid.... and we are back to square one.
The share price would plummet back to 60 - 80 cents..... set in concrete!!!
Then we will be back in the smorgasbord of similar Bio minnows, hoping for Pharma interest.
And we would be sweating it would occur before some other minnow pops up with very appealing Clinical Data.
I have been with VLA for 7 years, so I feel I am across this scenario as well as anyone else.
Question:- "Am I happy with $1.75?"
Answer:- "No, I thought $2.50 was going to be somewhere in the ballpark".
Question:- "What did I base that on?"
Answer:- "Sheer white noise from other posters attempting to line up the criteria/fundamentals/business plans of Pharmas in deals to further THEIR specific futures."
If we are worth $2.50 to say BMS, then BMS will surely put that on the table.
If we are not..... they will sit on their hands.
Kates is quite correct.... why worry about watching bots at work for 3 months?
