Sorry gd45, but I think you will find that you needed to have bought the shares prior to the trading halt - even though you may have bought on the 8th July, which is the day of the announcement, it takes the extra few days for money to change hands and to be put on their register.
From the announcement, "The Record Date for participation in the SPP is 7.00pm (Sydney time) today. It is anticipated
offer documents will be dispatched to eligible shareholders on Monday 13 July 2009".
