@nimbus24 The area of Namibia where CLA and CAZ operate is far from pristine, but land degradation is due to overgrazing by cattle and goats, rather than townships and infrastructure. There is some tourism in the area but that is limited to areas within reach of the main town Opuwo and Epupa falls, neither of which are close to CAZ's ground. Further, the area is all under Communal Conservancy (basically crown land where the communities are allowed by government to live and farm) which means no landowner issues. The local Himba people are poor and desperate for employment so highly supportive of any development.
Even better the legacy of the Angolan war is superb, military grade infrastructure - roads, airstrips, etc, plus a hydro power station and Kunene river nearby.
So an unusual mix of excellent infrastructure and very limited people or development issues.
