CAT cannot build a long term sustainable business if it does not invest in its own growth, whilst protecting its first starter advantages.
Back in 2010 the following was said about Netflix:
“It’s a little bit like, is the Albanian army going to take over the world?” said Jeffrey L. Bewkes, the chief executive of Time Warner, in an interview last week. “I don’t think so.”
Now of course Netflix has a bigger market cap than Time Warner.
The achievement of Netflix was the single focused, niche market (not so niche anymore though) attitude and always thinking about winning as opposed to please quarter by quarter investment updates. This applies to CAT.
