A good pump up here over a couple of days, but I am quizzical about the geology....my GSWA mapping and interpretation does not match the ann.  The GSWA mapping extracts below differ from the ann interpretation, also taken from GSWA.  On my Geoview extract there is no Hardey Formation (HF) on tenure in either the  1:250K mapping or 1:5M Bedrock mapping.  HF occurs off tenure to the east.  The good news is that there is Mt Roe Basalt (MRB) on tenure, abutting the North Star Basalt to the east and west and disappearing under Quaternary cover.  Whether this is significant remains to be tested in the field.

What is puzzling is CDTs interpreted HF on tenement, and the apparent significance attached to this by CDT geos.  HF is younger than MRB - mapping and the Australian Stratigraphic Database confirm this.  HF does not stratigraphically underly the MRB any where on the planet. The only way the HF could lie in the position in the ann would be if the region had had been subjected to intense deformation and he HF superpositioned over the MRB by folding.  This could only be determined in the field, and is certainly not evidenced in any GSWA mapping I have seen.  The Wits 2 gold at Purdy's (ARV/NOVO) (67g/t), Comet Well (NOVO) and Louden's Patch (DEG/VXR) (grade TBA) are in conglomerates uncomformably underlying the MRB, not in or contacting the HF.  HF does contain NOVOs Beaton Creek deposit, but this is lower grade (3.52g/t over wide exposure).

IMO there are inconsistencies with published mapping in the CDT ann.  If so, the ann requires correction.

Hoping for holders that the MRB on tenement overlies a Wits 2 nugget field and the CDT geos confirm this, but my confidence in them is not high given their interp of data to date.

No downramping, just facts.
