So it was an unsolicited offer. It was not shopped around or had data room setup. So hopefully industry will come out of the woodwork and expose true value. Glad there is a reasonable lead time to close out of deal. Time for them to open books to others. Can't imagine an independent reviewer coming up with $1.10 as fair. No Way!
Listening to management on call, can't believe how ignorant and naive they sound: "its a 50% premium to what market values the company yesterday". Where do you start with that?
This is not over, by a long shot, imo. Like another recent TO I was involved with, large numbers of smaller holders outcomes need to be considered as much as big director holdings. ASIC got involved in that case to ensure certain groups of holders were not disadvantaged by the Scheme's 75% majority vote criteria.
