re: Ann: Carpentaria's $3.5m exploration ...
It wasn't the best announcement I've ever seen (3000m of drilling across a handful of prospects won't cover much ground) but it is good to see that CAP have strong intentions to at least have a look into these other areas western NSW. Remember that CAP picked up a lot of these tenements for next to nothing, so it can't hurt to see if there is anything potentially economical down there.
What is disappointing is that they didn't put the foot down with any assertion when discussing Hawsons. A month or so ago Nick made mention in an interview that CAP have a group of geologists in Broken Hill preparing to commence the BFS. Why was this not reiterated in today's update? As Stja noted, this part of the announcement lacks clarity and shows a little bit of indecision on management's part. Here's hoping that the quarterly can give a more definitive outlook on proceedings.
By the way, a new Top20 has been posted on CAP's website. It turns out that the Top20 has barely changed in terms of shares held, and #11 on the list from April with 600k shares is still hanging around at the moment, which puts my conspiracy theory well and truly to bed. Sorry for leading everybody up the wrong path with that one!
