CCE have not drawn on the $15 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund for WaveHub.
EGP is very involved in EU funded renewable energy. Perhaps it it because of the ERDF connection, why EGP has thrown a lifeline to CCE.
So to NEMOS.
"Rome, May 7th 2018 –Enel Green Power joins the European OSMOSE project as a partner, which seeks to foster the spread of renewable energy at the international level through the development of integrated systems and services. More specifically, the trials will focus on renewables, storage systems, smart grid management and demand response technologies. The Enel Group will take part in the trials with the Potenza Pietragalla wind farm and the San Fiorano pumped-storage hydropower plant, with the aim of finding new flexibility solutions to support the electric system."
"Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market."
"As a leading technology developer in the field of wave energy, NEMOS got invitedto join the Horizon 2020 funded project „Space@Sea“. The consortium consisting of 17 European partners aims to provide sustainable and affordable workspace at sea by developing a standardised and cost efficient modular island with low ecological impact. In this context, NEMOS will contribute by developing technology for using wave energy from the relative motion between the separate modules. Here, enormous forces at relatively small amplitudes require a special designed PTO. NEMOS is looking forward to a fruitful interexchange of know-how within a broad international consortium."
