    IMO ... UCG has a future. But it may take a long time, still, before it gets its run.

    The fundamental problem is this [as I see it] .... UCG is a disruptive technology. That means it is a threat to the existing order. By its very nature a disruptive technology is always initially resisted by the status quo.
