Firstly, I do not hold and am sitting on the fence, with regard to an entry.
Anyone who thinks that Newman, would stir the pot with UCG prior to this coming election, also believes in Santa. His party, has sold their soul to the CSG mob and still take a lot of flack over that decision. Do you honestly believe that prior to the next election, he will stand up and declare not only will his Govt allow CNX to be the first UCG company to start up in Qld but basically the world? Linc, as you are probably aware, for 10 years toed the line with them and danced through hoops, only to leave the state in desperation, due to his Govt. dept's trumped up charges. They too had reached the decommissioning stage and thought they were home and hosed. They are currently jumping through the same hoops in Poland and yet are still finding red tape there, of all places. It seems that NO ONE country wants to be the FIRST to approve UCG. Do you honestly believe that Newman would have the balls to announce this PERCEIVED to be, experimental/trial coal burning process, is going to have a world first, here in Qld??? The greenies/lock the gate mob, would have him for breakfast, whilst he is trying to run a reelection campaign. Newman is now the underdog in his own electorate and by all polls, looks like he won't get back in. Anyone who thinks that Newman is dumb enough to expose himself to anything negative, prior to this election, certainly believes in Santa. IMHO.
