I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but if this is a 'strategic investment' and WMP is so rare, then why on earth did Bevan & Young agree to such a discount.
Truly 'strategic investors' pay a premium for a significant shareholding, not a discount. That's because they are in it for the long term, and a discount matters very little. And a company who values their project and dignity won't roll over as easily as Bevan & Young.
For those who are after a bit of a punt, then the discount becomes important.
Remember this is an individual, not Tinci itself, so we are getting ahead of ourselves if we think that Tinci are doing any sort of due diligence on WMP.
Chinese Chairmen love a bit of a punt at the casino. Bevan & Young must be starting to lose their nerve and want to lock in their salary for the next two years.
And that's all it looks like to me. Shame, because I've got a truckload in CZI.
