Have they got the power station up and running? Where is it located? How many Mega Watts are available for GMC? Let me know where it is and I can get a photo of it in a couple of days. I have a contact who will photograph the site in Bolok if that's where it is. Or you can always go on-line to some of the satellite photo sites - (Google too old) - go for the free ones.
Where are the furnaces - have they been delivered from South Africa?
Are they able to transport Mn ore in Kupang - do they have a licence to do that? The police confiscate the Mn ore if you don't have authority to transport it.
Where are they getting the Mn ore from? There is a Mn Society in West Timor, but these are basically artisan miners. By the 20kg bag.
There are huge reserves of Mn ore in West Timor, but very limited mining.
There is more money in exporting Mn ore than processing into alloy.
That is where the money is.
BHP's Groote Eylandt Mn ore production was regarded as the 8th most profitable mine in Australia (of all mines not just Mn) and it only had 42% grade Mn and it paid Australian wages.
West Timor has up to 55% with low impurities.
Forget the furnaces - get a mining export licence. Should only take you 3 years.
