John, that “expensive” comment flies in the face of comments I have heard from very reliable sources that they have already informally been offered 50-60 cents.
and how is this for irony......with all my ranting over the last two days I forgot I had a bid in the buy queue which got hit on opening yesterday at 24.5 cents.
Oh well there is still value here so I’ll open the bottom draw in a few years and see if this managment can redeem themselves.
My view is that there is too much pressure on these people to move forward at any cost. They have lost sight on being able to exercise strategic thinking. You are better leaving the gold in the ground and bolstering your resources and mine plans when sentiment is so low.
Developers are price takers in the equity and debt markets when sentiment is this low as we have just seen. We have just given away value for absolutely no reason. The company had $35 million in the bank at Sept which could last years. Remember the vultures also get very hungry the longer they have to circle overhead. If you’ve ever seen an episode of David Attenborough you know the vultures never come near the kill while the lions are feeding. The board should be acting like lions, protecting the kill to stop the scanvengers getting a fill durimg hard times. You only walk away from the kill when everyone in the pride is fed and satisfied or when food is abundant. Esh
