Agree. I know reasons are varied, but I have never been able to comprehend why some take CR's as being generically negative. Some holders almost automatically sell after the CR trading halt is lifted on the basis the company is in trouble. Others do it to try and cause a trading opportunity for themselves on the (in this case) inevitable uplift shortly down the track.
My only beef is why existing holders are denied an opportunity (as they usually are) to participate in the CR - especially when there is a discount. That is a way of rewarding them for just being existing shareholders who have been long time supporters of the company. Yes, in this case there is a ~6% dilution, but if existing holders participated it wouldn't matter.
In this particular instance, I don't see the need to attract SI's. IMO, there is nothing sophisticated about this CR and I'm very confident they could have easily raised it from existing holders.. Fairly simple stuff and, like Blairman, if I was a so called SI, I wouldn't be selling fast - for a quick profit. There will be a bigger one waiting....
Anyway, all good....I'm staying for the long game.
