Paul, Another thought to consider....given the FACT that the line past Canyon bauxite deposits is being upgraded, in part to facilitate the Chad rail link and get freight into Chad, what is the probability that the short Kribi link will not be built? This is where the deep water port is located, the planned rail corridor has been cleared in preparation, and those lines are designed to increase volumes into Cameroon, Chad and beyond.
...and for those worried about they will get standard freight back to Kribi on top of bauxite wagons I offer this African solution
