I think that is a bit harsh besides the fact that Deans Foods in the US is just a tiny wee bit larger and a lot more sophisticated as a business as is Dairy Crest.

The ASX is remiss of some serious meat on it outside of the miners, banks and a telco and perhaps its regulatory function is ripe for improvement but companies in Australia in general have some of the toughest governance and regulatory regimes around, weirdly enough they aren't as tough in multi-nationals as they are on nationals.

AHF's problem lies squarely at the feet of the current incumbents and cannot be blamed on anyone else.
