Well the behaviour of the seller is illogical if you look at it traditionally so I guess anything can happen.
So anyway, been thinking... If you were wanting to exit a large holding, unless you have an IQ of less than 80, you'd not stack your sell orders like what is happening. Because to do that you're encouraging the SP to decline. You would only do that if you were wanting the SP to decline. Why would someone want the SP to decline as surely if OEX was worth less after the "bad" announcement you'd want to encourage the best price so you get the best return to take to another investment elsewhere?
Bottom line is the selling are not really sellers, they are actually buyers but are using their holding to bully the market to a lower price to re-acquire; effectively shorting the stock. In fact I'm thinking of buying some of the sellers stock and beat them at their own game by using their strategy to my advantage. So drop the price, I'm waiting to buy.
Please do it quickly as I need to go catch some more mud crabs.
