People seem to forget that that is a long way down. And it is a long way up out of the drill hole and a lot of pipe sections that have to be disconnected and laid down on the ground if there is a need to fix something.
The very depth of a well creates its own slowing down of activity anytime there is an interruption or complication.
I would much prefer to see them drilling slowly and carefully and "listening" to the well than go barging ahead and have a major problem. We know from past comments about previous well attempts in this area that complications and failures can happen around those depths with sudden changes in pressure.
Slowly and carefully is to be applauded.
