Just reading posts and just googling content online, like market share, how big is this player ect and found this interesting report.

Why did Fonterra invest in it?

It wanted a Chinese business partner which had established marketing and sales channels to sell its Anmum infant formula and other products. Beingmate had 80,000 retail outlets and 20,000 "maternal service consultants" to distribute the products.

What happened then?

Beingmate started to amass large debts as it rapidly expanded, its share price went into freefall and its market share in China fell from 9 per cent in 2013 to 2.5 per cent now.

My thoughts- (this is the only ref i have to how big a market share they have, and i guess they had 80000 stores but now have 30000 which is a fair amount. Hard to believe thats 2.5 percent of the market.)

Well lots of other neg things and some positives, but what i got most out of the report was, DAMN Fonterra have had a *ed up time/luck in China......
