'How do they plan to pay for going into production?'

The same way nearly all junior gold explorers transitioning to producer status do - by raising debt or issuing equity.

The clue about how this will unfold is in the ann yesterday - Canadian big hitter Haywood Securities is on board with CVY for a reason.

Once CVY backdoor lists via the Crescent merger it can issue new stock on the TSX. This will enable it to raise the several hundred million dollars required if it is to develop its 132 sq km next door to the 8 million ounce Rainy River Resources project, and also the nearby multi million ounce Cameron gold project.

It is pretty obvious that Haywood will co-ordinate this subject to further exploration results on that virgin ground next door to RRR's glamour project, and at Cameron (which is also way underexplored).

Haywood currently has over $6 billion in funds under management.
