In 2013, half of new drugs in the US were repurposed drugs — though in Australia there is a much bigger focus on the development of new products.

An amazing statistic published a few days ago.

They would be screaming out for innovation over there. 

I have been doing a little bit of work on a hedge hog called Bill Ackman who ended up backing a bad horse called Valeant. That was a couple of years ago and it ran so badly that they have changed its name to Bausch. Might be a teutonic thing where there is belief in the strength of all things germanic. Great if you were a refugee i guess. It seems these guys do make some dermatological products and if there is one thing big pharma hates and that is competition. Roche would be aware of this also but my personal interest lies with Bill. More of that later i am guessing.
