Ann: Board Change, page-77

Just arrived and read the thread through from first post to last.   Seems JB is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.   If he or any poster on here had drawn attention to the fact that he'd be leaving I'm pretty sure it would have caused just as much negativity and calls to dump/sell/run etc.   Fact is, in shareholders' minds there is no good time for him to exit, because he has been the face of VEC for all of us for a long time.   I certainly felt a twinge of uncertainty and concern on reading the announcement.   Thanks @apkjm @cfp and others for spelling out our current position - saved me having to piece it all together.   I had a tiny niggling worry whether something negative might turn up on Friday but his tweet says it all and I'm happy with that.   As for the share price - I sincerely hope it doesn't gap up because that only causes people to sell if they think the gap will close.  Slow and steady is my preferred way.
