JG, the main form of promotion is by the SuperMarkets and pharmacy chains owned by AS Watson - the biggest distributor in Asia of Health and Beauty products (look them up). Stores have marketing banners promoting Australia's Number 1 Brand, which in itself is a positive as they were not allowed to promote like that last year.
I am not a big watcher of local TV or radio as I don't speak Cantonese, but I hope they are not blowing cash on such advertising, especially in China. The key to China is having the right distribution in each province.
The best way to promote is to have the distributors (like AS Watson) push the products for you, as that saves your marketing dollars - marketing may be a cost but would be paid on increase of sales rather than mass advertising which can be hit and miss, especially in such a fragmented market as China.
