Every time I read these preso's, I think back to the billions made after Lang Hancock flew down that gorge - "that red hill looks like its made from ore"...
The commercial instruments at the time didn't pick up the iron ore - there was to much off it.
They resorted to using their eyes.....
turned out it was 2% higher grade then the std blast furnace ore used in the usa at the time. Measured over 50km or so.
"Gee that black hill, looks like it's made of graphite"
Gotta say, more then the odd similarity.
