Current situation:
NSW (local dump): 30t x $120/t + 2 hours round trip x $100/hour = $3,800 per truck
QLD (interstate dump): 30t x $30/t + 24 hours round trip x $100/hour = $3,300 per truck
Saving: $500/truck
Calculation excluding additional truck expenses, fuel, depreciation, efficiency etc.
Situation from 1 July 2019:
NSW (local dump): 30t x $120/t + 2 hours round trip x $100/hour = $3,800 per truck
QLD (interstate dump): 30t x ($30/t + $75/t new levy) + 24 hours round trip x $100/hour = $5,550 per truck
Interstate dump to QLD will cost $1,750 per truck after QLD’s new levy.
Calculation excluding additional truck expenses, fuel, depreciation, efficiency etc.
NSW costs understated. Levy is $141, plus tip costs. So redo numbers with $180, not $120.
