re: Ann: Becoming a substantial holder in BOW... Tui,
There is no doubt that the ASX and ASIC knows full well what is going on. But, as far as they are concerned it is all legal and above board. So, they will turn the jug on again for the next cup of coffee, while we are getting skinned alive.
And why would ASX say something when they are making money out of these practices.
IMO, there is a conflict of interest in what they are doing with handling the daily course of trades as a watchdog, and then running an ASX listed company that is benefiting from what is going on while under their control, and with their own shareholders wanting to share in those profits with some dividends.
Senator John Williams has asked for a Royal commission on what is going throughout the market and financial Institutions with what he calls (from memory) "White collar crime".
Is something going to be done about it ?? Your guess is as good as mine. But, one thing is for sure. And that is that these people in mention are very powerfull people that IMHO can make or brake a Government of the day.
So, IMHO, chances are that it will be all swept under the carpet, ONCE AGAIN, while the retail investors will continue to suffer.
Regards.
