I have watched this one go nowhere for quite some time now but the catalyst has arrived and it is a question as to whether it triggers any change and an upshift of the value of the business...the entree was the result of the AGM not long ago with a 1st strike on the Rem Report.
Am always good here, kicking myself for not taking my own advice in regards BAL but that's like, you catch some and others get away.
I agree that MGC is such a shame but to some degree it will drive change and create opportunity in the dairy sector which is overdue but the question is whether the change will help or hinder the industry and the south eastern seaboard will be impacted more than anywhere else. This one tried to play in dairy in WA and is somewhat removed from the action but with the sale of Brownes Dairy to an offshore owner and also the sale of the Lactanz farms in the SW corner of WA also may stir some things up over there.
I just can't see 1AG being a part of that action though and suspect it will get dragged back to the eastern seaboard for something where they like it or not. If Sandon (and Wilson as their front man) have any say with a combined 10% of the issued capital it will be along the lines of "get on with it or get out" and given the cozy arrangements in place at the moment I am guessing it will end up being more a "get out" kinda scenario. 1st strike and a 10% holding bodes well for some major change either way.
