Don't know if you've ever been to a Wine Auction, but I can assure you, those Chinese buyers who have a grip on the economic miracle are bypassing any wine with a Golden kangaroo or Koala on it , and heading straight for the Penfolds Grange on the catalogue. Yes, Chinese babies need powdered milk, but wealthy middle class adults want a luxury dairy product.
I don't think LON have even started to play there hand yet, I like the fact that there's not a lot of hype or announcement going on at the moment. Tells me that the Board is quietly planning the way forward.
