re: Ann: QRL: Becoming a substantial holder f... I can understand the logic behind a "spreading the risk" sort of mutual JV between FNT and QRL in expensive to explore Elephant Country like PNG.
Basically a sort of a JV swap where the two co's each put EL's into a common pool where ownership is 50-50. I am not arguing against that.
But why in addition did FNT have to buy an 11% stake in QRL ???
Cash is so precious I am battling to see how FNT holders have benefited.
QRL had just raised money.
I notice the QRL ann yesterday - 04/12/2012 50/50 New Britain Joint Venture
does not mention the FNT buy-in to 11% of QRL.
You have to read the -
04/12/2012 Becoming a substantial holder from FNT
ann to get that - Odd.
Having the family connection does not make it look any better.
I am with heatherbelle re disliking nepotism big-time.
Can somebody suggest an answer to my question -
"But why in addition did FNT have to buy an 11% stake in QRL ???"
