Maybe however I wouldn't bet on it.The GBP has been lower than it is now against AUD.A few years ago I was getting 67 p for an Aussie dollar in London.(thought about buying a flat but didn't…another mistake)
imo there is nothing flash about the Aussie economy and the latest election is not going to help.Generally,I reckon the average Aussie has nfi about the potential for things to go badly wrong in this country.
