BCL leadership pins hope on Polaris II
The BCL Polaris II initiative aims at diversifying and extending the mine’s existence beyond 2020 and to economically develop Selebi Phikwe.

Officially launching the leadership development programme, the vice chairperson of the BCL board of directors, Ms Dora Moremi said the programme focused on mining and mineral exploration in Botswana and other countries.

She said with more than 35 years experience in mining, BCL was optimistic that its Polaris II initiative would yield benefits, saying the smelter at BCL would continue to smelt mineral ore from Selebi Phikwe and other mines such as Tati Nickel as well as from other mines in Africa and Europe.
