The point I was getting at, is currently I think the company has the capacity to pay a small dividend and have the franking credits for it. A dividend, even a small one would lift the share price and stimulate demand pre div closing date.
I'm not against a big dividend, but we should consider that the management and the board have an obligation to keep the company as a going concern (perpetual life). Hence the need to maintain cash flows and sustain the business, after that they should look at capital management such as dividends, capital returns, share buybacks etc.
Currently if we take the last presentation, it sounds like the company is working on a deal. So I guess a small dividend might be somewhat plausible unless something big happens.
Lets hope, and keep an eye on the announcements as I suspect either by Friday or Monday we should know how much if anything we have at Baragatan.
