The May 2016 raise was held at 0.38 (0.76 now). The share price was trading around 0.40 at the time (0.80 now)
I was holding at the time and remember that raise well. It set in train a multi-year trend reversal that the company has still not recovered from (share price has deteriorated c 60% since then)
The raise was held shortly prior to some Alacran intercepts iirc (which ultimately failed to impress). Tony sprung the trap when market sentiment was at its frothiest. And it was a big raise too. He took the opportunity to make hay
I remember Rovira arrived at conferences after the raise was finished with a big stupid grin on his face, boasting to media about how much loot he had scooped from the CR and ‘what a great place’ the company was in right now. lol
And meanwhile all the shareholders were seeing the value of their shares and rights issues plummeting through the floor with no end in sight! awful
When you say investors have provided the company with ‘support’ over recent raises, I respectfully beg to differ. Participation in these raises was not an affectionate gesture of friendship or loyalty, it was a calculated play to earn ROI
And the vast majority of people participating in the raise failed to accomplish this. And this is why it’s becoming harder for the company to raise at a fair price. Their CRs are simply not capital accretive
Since 2016 I avgd down progressively to 0.011 until AZS occupied half my portfolio (so many cardinal rules broken). I then sold everything (through pure luck of good timing) at the peak of the intraday spike leading up to the release of the first Oposura essays. Azure ultimately turned out to be a hugely profitable investment for me
I add this last part not to boast (it was the result of pure chance) but merely to show that what I say is not the moaning of an embittered holder nursing a big loss
