I forecast a telco squeeze for CY16 in the general thread post. Almost every telco stk is falling as competition hots up and margins are squeezed to gain/maintain mkt share. The winner is you... the consumer.
PS. I'm in middle of clearing my filing system. Found some old optus bills from 4 yrs ago. I now pay less for line rental, local calls, national calls, calls to mobiles and i have 40x the internet quota for about half the previous price. Telcos have no pricing power. They do have scale but Oz/NZ mkt now at saturation point. Glory days of rapid growth are gone imo esp as telstra is determined to hang onto mkt share.
Hard to value MTU accurately after so many mergers etc. Interim will hopefully provide accurate guidence although i suspect it will be vagueish.
Just for fun call yr telco provider and say you want to leave and sign a contract with opposition. Note how the will fight to keep you with a better deal.
