I've been working at BP Kwinana's 4 yrly maint shutdown. No projects booked for the next year or two??
They have recently shut down their Bulwer Island refinery in Queensland! This WA refinery produces fuel for South Australia and Tasmania. It produces 80% of WAs fuel including all of WAs Jet A1 jet fuel . If this refinery closes in a few years time all of the Condensate from the NWS and any condensate and crude oil from WA wells will have to be exported. Lets hope the state government and BP keep Kwinana operating in the future so condensate from new gas fields can be refined at Kwinana.
