Exactly - it's not about accepting 71c. It's about letting the market decide the valuation. If you have nothing to hide, what's wrong with opening the data room? They can crunch their numbers and if they think it's worth more they will bid more. If they underbid, you are justified in telling them it's a no deal.
Unless you are too proud because you've done nothing but destroy shareholder value over many years and can't accept that your company isn't worth $2 any more.
Waitsia is a truly world class resource and it sells itself - throw open the data room and let them bid on the goods. If there is a bid that offers more value than AWE can achieve alone, then accept it. If not, go it alone. Simples.
