Lets hope they keep to their new quick timeline because based on history timelines generally get missed here.  The Ann doesn't really say much from what we already know as well so interesting response from the market itself.  It might be a flow from PUR yesterday IMO and/or the market starting to realise when China comes back from its holidays then.

Going forward, I still have these questions in my head which I am working through in terms of how I view this investment  - Post #: 36982396 - because in a way FA changed in the minds of investors when the production date was pushed out to 2022 so the restoration in FA boils down to the market realising that capex can be funded and even a 2022 production date makes it possible for AVL to enter the market - refer post Post #: 36982141

In terms of the timelines the MET tests in the ANN should have already been done IMO as I posted in the past, so lets hope the SP crash of the last few months has knocked some sense into VA and the BOD about the importance of speed to market and meeting timelines.

Sending samples offshore to end buyers for their own testwork IMO should have been done some time ago as well - the key for the MET tests is showing that i.) 98% grade can be achieved within the specifications required (meaning the V205 can be used by steel producers/buyers in the way they planned in steel, been easily recoverable with the impurities above 98% easily removed in steel strengthening by offshore buyers and ii.) the costs assumed can be achieved byAVL itself - anyone can achieve 98% grade if throw enough money at the problem but it is whether they are achieved in terms of the cost specifications that is the key for the producer and for the DFS.

In addition, whether you agree or not, somehow the market also like the physcholgy that 98% (and 99.5%) can be achieved - in terms of other plays as I said in the past anyone can achieve it provided you throw enough money at the problem but it is meeting them in the cost specifications, but whatever the market phychology somehow the market likes that thing happening too - achieving 98% min grade in the Lab - so read the next leg up is when the MET test results are released etc.  Lets hope they are done this quarter/early next quarter, if not well timelines again become an issue here.
