Been a while but wanted to check back in.
This last month has been a perfect example of how shares move from uneducated, scared investors, into the hands of the sophisticated ones. It all started with those who thought they'd be clever enough to make some money on an arbitrage trade by selling their shares and then converting the options. Problem was too many morons all thought they were geniuses at the same time and when 50 million shares were put on market, for no other reason that to make a very small profit, the share price tanked. Next thing you know the option price crashed as well and as it did a few intelligent folks started to smell blood and played right along with it. Next thing you know is that right on cue at the end of December the options are worth next to nothing and the last couple of days then saw the REAL money come in and pick them up for peanuts to guarantee themselves buying as many shares as they wanted for 2c without moving the share price up. Not only that, but the shortfall was an absolute steal for some lucky folks who were waiting at the door on the day they all expired to snap them up. Very smart!
All the while, folks were too busy getting trolled on here by the normal peanut gallery who most likely either live with their parents still or only stopped posting on here to go pick up their Centrelink cheques to see what was happening. I'd name a few, but everyone knows who they are. Have a bit of fun if you're bored and go look at the stocks that motley crew admit to owning. It's an all star list of broken dreams. Can you imagine the laughs that were going on away from this board by those waiting for the options to expire worthless?? Did nobody notice that those that had anything positive to say decided to stay far away and let it all unfold? They could not have gotten a better group of idiots down ramping a stock on their behalf if they'd tried!! What a perfect storm!! And do you know what's even funnier?? No doubt a huge group of holders are so shell shocked by what just unfolded that their once well thought out idea's about where vanadium sits in the market and where AVL's share price should logically go are all out the window now. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if today's little spike fizzles out later on today or tomorrow. Let's check back in around June!!
It will be fun to see the latest Top 20 and so you lot can see what happened in that group recently. Moving forward it will be very nice to have so much deadwood off this register. For the next couple of months I hope to see many more of you jump ship and so shares continue to find there way into "safer hands". Hopefully when people sell they can move on with their lives and spend more time with friends and family (seems a couple have neither) and less time posting on a stock you obviously have no understanding about.
See everyone in a month or so. Good luck to those familiar faces who are still involved.
