Quick edit: today’s 3B ‘not price sensitive’? Yeah right- tell that to holders.

So it’s a fund for all of Northern Australia & includes W.A.
$6 billion for 3 states & most will find it hard to argue that W.A/N.T aren’t the 2 less developed states by comparison & therefore probably ahead in the ranking as Canberra starts to talk of pushing newcomers to live outside the major cities.

More federal seats can be won for less money in those 2 states as well & W.A mining projects have less likelihood of damaging high tax revenue generating tourism areas while also generally producing the bulk of minerals which the gov. can receive royalty payments from.

Interesting. If I were in control of those monies I’d throw it all at W.A/N.T mines, N.T/QL tourism infrastructure & projects conducive to general population growth in the N.T.
    ( I’m not though so don’t get upset ).

Sconi sure is in a plum spot as far as logistics goes but that comes with its own price- there is a well established city which relies heavily on tourism/attracting new residents many of whom are retirees etc with a lot of time on their hands. A lot of people to say things like ‘I visited/moved here because it’s so beautiful- I really hope we don’t see any of it ruined’.

Very interesting. That site would have done well back in the 50’s through to the 90’s. In today’s more environmentally aware societal environment? It will be more challenging, that’s for sure.

Quite possibly the location is too good to be true? A lender wouldn’t want any blowback if there are any issues later on in such a well known region of natural beauty.
