Seems that people are making the classic mistake between the existence of oil and a commercial discovery. then even if discovery is deemed commercial, to be beneficial it has to be producing more in net cash flow than the cost of keeping the company going.

They have not as yet got a commercial field , and with oil receiving a 9 dollar USD discount to tapis, this well is very much likely to be another well that generates cash more through a CR than actually cashflow
